Later in the semes- ter. this same pledge Class was guest of the tietive Chapter at the Polynesian Room. Edge- water Bench Hotel. for their pledge dance.

YX'hen Honors Day rolled around in the spring. it was evident that the ADPi's had an asseinlalage ol unusual intellect. Seniors who attained the requirements for entrance into YYho's Who include: Kathy Swensen, Lois Schubert. and Donna lienters. Kappa Alpha. YYoinen's Honorary Society respecting scholar- ship and leadership. initiated Jane Reesinan in the traditional Chapel cereinony, In recog- nizing outstanding leadership. the Sigtna Eta keys were given to Gwen lX1cGrew and Donna Lenters. Not only did the ADPi girls possess line individual excellence in grade averages. hut when Dean Dunn arose to announce the winner ofthe 1955 Spring and 1955 Fall Schol- arship Trophy for highest sorority grade aver- age. it was. again, this sorority that received the applause. They led the sororities with an average of1.67, which included both actives and pledges. a total of 30 ineinliers. Donna Lenters and .lane Reesinan achieved ltigh enough inarks to receive the Einina O. Hass award lor scholarship. The award lor languages was presented to Gwen lNIcGrew, Again. Donna lienters was nained. when th-J presentation for scholarship excellence in the lield ol psychology was iriade. At the XYAA- XYSGA Banquet in the spring, Geri Springer was recognized as lmeing the inost valualile individual liasketliall player. XX'hen Variety Show tiine rolled around in hlarch. all the show-ininded ADPi's teained up with the, like- wise-ininded. Phipes and presented a roaring 20's act. Lois Krejci and Evonne Gianopulos staged a scene in a 19241 speakeasy. including the rinky-tink piano. the hoods, the flappers and. ol' course. the Charleston.
