tETURN AND FIND MANY CHANGES IN THEIR FORESTER HOME On September 2l, students familiar with the LF ravines, coffee shop, and eligibility requirements, began our annual fall migration. Upon getting to campus we were surprised to see changes suggested by the Booze, Allen, and Hamilton efficiency experts. Even the upper classmen weren't prepared to find . . . meals served on south campus . . . Commons closed . . . ad- ministrative offices in North Hall . , . student janitor service . . . Remsen House closed , . . Patterson, a girls' dorm . . . the bookstore in College Hall . . . no pool room . . . Humanities department in the Institute . . . no housemother in Bradley . . . chapel point system . . . remodeled Coffee Shop with new chairs and tables . . . a new green bus to replace the old Red Comet . . . painless new registration procedures. Miss Nobis' pride and joy - complete with lighted showcases.

We Are Welcomed Back . . . THE STUDENT BODY Dr. and Mrs. E. A. Iohnson at home. Once trunks were emptied and books purchased, football cheers called crowds toward Farwell Field. There the score board, the new glassed-in pressbox, and bright football uni- forms, all demanded special notice. At open houses after the game we found prosperous looking old alums and wide-eyed new freshmen. Before long we were once more accustomed to clanging alarm clocks, clicking typewriters, the dormitory Hsquawk box, mail time, Friday afternoon at the Bob-lnn, Sunday night at the Bowling Alley, and study breaks at Hall's. Classes, too, were on our minds, for weekly quizzes kept impressing the necessity of buying a book for each course. lndian summer was so long' that We resumed beach parties where they left off last spring. For the first week, the Bowery, the Black Diamond, and other traditional rush parties kept
