THEY COME BACK TO STAY! .vugfi Our favorife pasfime fhis year has been fhaf of welcoming former Foresfers back fo campus while fhey've been home or passing fhrough on leave. lf we can'f have fhem here all fhe fime, fheir drop- ping in now and fhen is fhe nexf besf fhing. A number of our boys, however, have come back fo us from fhe various branches of fhe service and have resumed fheir educafion. Of fhe eighf veferans now enrolled, six have been Lake Foresf College sfudenfs before. Howie Percy was fhe firsf fo refurn-in January, I944. He was followed by John Reuss and Chuck PerriH, who arrived in fime for summer school-'44. Pefe Timosciek refurned in fhe fall of '44, and January '45 saw four more veferans enfer school-fhree Foresfers, Bill Dayfon, Sfan Pausf lA.S.T.P.l, and Harry Wilson: and a new sfudenf, Ofhello Ellis. F These fellows are all eligible for fhe benefifs offered fhem under fhe G. l. Bill. lf seems fo us fo be a very worfhwhile program-parficularly since if assures 'rhe refurn +o school of many of our favorife Foresfers affer fhe war is over. Thaf's fhe one fhing we're looking forward fo mosf- having fhe fellows back on campus again-'ro sfay. We have a marvelous sfarf wifh fhe veferans who are here now and are anficipafing an increase in fheir number as each new semesfer opens. Come back fo sfay is a phrase fhaf means much fo each and everyone of us here af school as well as in homes all over fhe land.
