Qdams, Kirby and Smith take a few minutes off from llorth Hall classes to indulge in a smoke between bell- ringings ...' 'now listen here, you lay- birds, for the last time, this is the way l mean when l say get low,' '... Coach lones in action on the football field . . . Looks as though lllr. Hartzo and Dr. lohnson are get- ting ready to put two bucks on the nose in the fifth race . . . really just the freshman social science trip ...' 'Pinky expounds a little mixed French and philosophy . . . Heres Doc Harris telling another one of those stories . . . Ht the Senior Tree-Planting, Prexy takes a last minute look at the notes before going ahead with his speech. The Faculty Women Do llo corner on activity is held by the faculty men . . . for when not sending friend hus- band off on time to that eight o'clock class, the faculty women engage in their own ac- tivities. Foremost among these are the bi- weekly meetings of the Campus Circle. H meeting held at Lois Hall finds political scientist Hartzo hard at work putting across a little extracurricular work to the assembled mernbers. The tea and cake go well, finds fllr. Hartzo as he chats with fllrs. Coffin and miss Biggs, while fllrs. flloore, Dean Koupal and fllrs. Ferguson seem highly amused at something . . . fllrs. Hartzo takes hers stand- ing up. 4 - 6 nib. 1? Ulith an enviable record of forty years of coaching experience behind him in schools such as lndiana, Purdue, lllinois, and as head coach of the Chicago Bears professional foot- ball team, Coach Iones is a strong believer in the value of athletics as a builder not only of physical stamina, but also as a developer of mental alertness.
