Since all the women from Pittsburgh to Lake Forest are clamoring for Bud, we realize that he is one of the biggest and smoothest dealers on the fourth Hoot. Bud put in two years at LFA and proved to himself and to his many friends that his home town, Pittsburgh C The hottest town in the ll.S. l, has given us a future tennis star and a record-breaking swimmer. Besides excelling in athletics, Bud has a perfect system of blowing square smoke rings. Penn State is calling him next year, and we are sure that he will be as much a success there as he has been here. JOHN HLMIQR LOHNHS Black Club, Varsity Football, 4, Varsity Baskttball, 4, Varsity Track, 4, Letterman's Club, 4, Forum, 4, Class Officer, 4, Treasurer, 4, Athletic Council, 43 Glue Club, 4, Gargoyle, 4. Jack came to LFA for the first time this year, but shortly after school opened in the fall he was a well-known boy on the campus. The fact that Jack was one of the best quarterbacks that LFA has seen in many years was confirmed when he was chosen to the second All-Conference Football Team. He played varsity basketball and was one of the most outstand- ing men on the track team. His abilities were also applied to the Gargoyle Club and the Glee Club. Coming to LFA from Riverside, Illinois, he will head for Yale next year. Jack will long be remembered by everyone for his casual, easy going, smiling manner, and his bright original saying of H'lo.

Hath has been at the academy for three yearsg and although he has not been outstanding in any one field, he has played an integral part in academy life. l.ast year Hath was one of Mr. .-Xrpee's best linemen, and this year he repeated himself. lr has been said that Hath is quite a baseball playerg however, in the spring it is extremely difficult to locate him after three o'elock. Hath has been unable to decide upon a college for next fall, but we are confident that he will do well wherever he goes. 1 - 'if 'a CSHORGIQ S. Between Ucorge's frequent excursions, he finds time to work on the Crzvv, the Npernzlor, and to show his abilities in both the academic and athletic departments. ln his junior year George was the manager of the varsity baseball team, and he was an able halfback on the varsity soccer team in his senior year. Most of his time, however, was devoted to the Cmvv of which he was editor. He could be found in his room during most of his free time slaving over his desk trying to meet deadlines. YYhatever George plans to do, we are sure he will be successful as in the publication of the book you are now reading. 17 XYhenever one sees a two-toned Chevrolet dart from the

ROBIQRT G. LOPICZ Orange Club, Junior Soccer, 3, -lg .S'pfr1utm', 4, Cumlv, 4. XYho kept the student average high while taking l3elano's Russian? XVho cared little for women and nothing for work? The Senor was the fellow who got to bed by ten o'clock every night and still had a high B average. School held no terrors for him, but work did, he abhorred it, If there was anything, anything, that would keep Bob from athletics, you would find him heartily endorsing it. One of the most popular and intelligent students of the school was this da-boi, who came in on the truck every morning through sleet or snow. As yet he is undecided about a vocation, although he would undoubtedly make a good humor writer. After two years at the Academy Boll has made a mark for himself, and he will continue to make friends at Princeton University. JOHN MADDHN, JR. Orange Club, Junior Varsity Football, 3, Orange Football, 3, Varsity Football, 4g Varsity Baseball, 3, 4. John is one of the da-bois clan who has proved himself an honor student in studies and a good athlete on both the gridiron and the diamond. Speaking of honors, the subject of women is not new to J.M., who has also proven his good eye by his choices for academy dances. In the fall John gave his services to the varsity football team where he was a guard, and in the spring, he excelled in baseball in which he won varsity letters during both of his years at LFA. The faculty and students will long remember John as one of the happiest fellows who has ever graced the old campus. Yale calls Johnnie next year, and we know he can, and will pull through in whatever profession he chooses. 29
