Chicago is a suburb of Oak Park. Quotations such as these along with the playing of the top jazz recordings float through the halls of the Fast House fourth floor thus intro- ducing lfddie John XVeismueller Hutcheson. Hutch entered LFA this year as a post graduate and immediately captured the hearts ofeveryone with his dynamic personality. As an athlete lid played outstandingly as end on the varsity football team and was a star member of the swimming team. Here he is, Deerlield's gift to LF.-X, Bill Keady. During his three years here, Bill has not only been a student in his own rightg but also a standout on the athletic field, having been a capable end on this year's varsity football team. This year Bill was a day student catching up on those furious weekends that characterize the said group. His boarding days, however, did not lack the usual fun had by boarders. To prove this, one would have only to ask the boys at Delavan or Kenosha. But looking back on all the good times we have had with XVillie, we shall all miss him at IFA as we would miss any all-around fellow. So long, Bill, and here's wishing you luck at Princeton. 26 a right guy in laid Hutcheson.

Two years ago, LIFA was fortunate in acquiring that strong man from Beloit, Tim lillis. liver since then, Tim has been among the leaders of the school, both academically and physically. He was listed on the all-conference football team for two consecutive years. This alone would take up the time and ambition of most people, but Tim was not content with these achievements. Tim's work in the classroom has always been near the top. Through most of his two years at LPA, he has kept a strong grip on a B average. Tim excels too, in his associations with the fairer sex. Most of the school has heard of Soozie , Mell , and others. The school suffers a loss, indeed, when Tim leaves to enter Northwestern University. uk Club, Varsity Football, 3, 4, Captain, 4, Varsity Basketball, 3, 4, Varsity Track, 3, 4, Letterman's Club, 3, 4, Student Council, 4, President, 4, Athletic Council, 4, Dis- ciplinary Committec, 4, Forum, 4, Dance Committee, 4. l ew fellows could ever top or hope to top the record of Phil Hungerford. Hungy came to LFA in his junior year from the deep South. His main accomplishments were being captain of the l946 varsity football team and the highest honor a student can obtain-being president of the Student Council. ln his junior year he helped drive the basketball team to victory in the Mid-west Prep Conference Tourna- ment. Along with his other accomplishments Phil rates high in the academic department. Princeton will be proud to welcome this great fellow next year, and we are not only sure, but positive that he will succeed there as he has so assuredly done here.
