Ask anyone who lives in Fast House. He's hound to say that it's f'Clag. Gifted with a tricky pen and witty tongue, ,lack has given us lots of laughs from his Rad-Ne-Lac column in the Speflator. ,lack has also been a member of the All-Star Orange and Black football team, the varsity swimming team, and the track team. His extra-curricular work includes such activities as the Glee Club and the Gargoyle Club. Clag is by no means a bo- iackg he has been an l,l A man for four years. Next year lack hopes to attend Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. In everyone's estima- tion Dys's greatest feat was his return of the opening kickoff against Elgin for a touchdown. Of course, John is noted around the campus for his many other activities. Among other things, he is oneof the few fellows who continually has cigarettes-a great feat in itself. So far Dys has been un- determined in the choice of a college, but whether it be XVashington and Lee or Northwestern, he will be a success. Here's wishing luck to a swell fellow, whom l.l .-X will always remember.

Two years ago Highland Park lost another of its line gentlemen to Lake Forest Academy. In keeping with the fine tradition set by other Highland Park boys, Bob has set his sparkling personality on the school with great results. Many borders cannot understand why Bob is not a day student, but the long, arduous tramp through the wilds of Ravinia to his humble abode loomed as an insurmountable obstacle. ln view of this situation Bob occupies a luxurious suite among the elite on the third floor of Remsen House. If you hear Fred VVaring's melodic tunes floating through the ancient corridors of Remsen, these sounds are sure to be coming from Bob's room. Next year Bob plans to attend VVilliams College. When you think of Greenbush, you can think of only one other synonym. That synonym is none other than the busi- nessman ofthe senior class, Dave Cary. One of the select men ofthe fourth floor, Dave has made a fine and enviable record during his three years at LFA. His activities throughout the years were unlimited, and he had the distinction of never having been in day study hall. Dave was well liked by every- one on the campus and did a great deal towards making school life more enjoyable. His scholastic feats were equalled only by his social dealings, in which he was renowned all over the north shore. An all-around student in every phase of school life, Dave was always one to strive for perfection. Wharton University will be the scene of future activities of this Greenbush businessman. 23

Two years ago, LIFA was fortunate in acquiring that strong man from Beloit, Tim lillis. liver since then, Tim has been among the leaders of the school, both academically and physically. He was listed on the all-conference football team for two consecutive years. This alone would take up the time and ambition of most people, but Tim was not content with these achievements. Tim's work in the classroom has always been near the top. Through most of his two years at LPA, he has kept a strong grip on a B average. Tim excels too, in his associations with the fairer sex. Most of the school has heard of Soozie , Mell , and others. The school suffers a loss, indeed, when Tim leaves to enter Northwestern University. uk Club, Varsity Football, 3, 4, Captain, 4, Varsity Basketball, 3, 4, Varsity Track, 3, 4, Letterman's Club, 3, 4, Student Council, 4, President, 4, Athletic Council, 4, Dis- ciplinary Committec, 4, Forum, 4, Dance Committee, 4. l ew fellows could ever top or hope to top the record of Phil Hungerford. Hungy came to LFA in his junior year from the deep South. His main accomplishments were being captain of the l946 varsity football team and the highest honor a student can obtain-being president of the Student Council. ln his junior year he helped drive the basketball team to victory in the Mid-west Prep Conference Tourna- ment. Along with his other accomplishments Phil rates high in the academic department. Princeton will be proud to welcome this great fellow next year, and we are not only sure, but positive that he will succeed there as he has so assuredly done here.
