As fall rolls around, the trees show their colors and so does LEC. Everyone starts digging out the warm blankets, the wool sweaters and begin to get ready to settle in for a year of hard work and hard play. Clubs get organized, presidents are elected, and all fall athletes practice diligently for a winning season. LEC spirit is strongly apparent throughout Spirit Week and Class Dinners. As winter snow starts to fall, nature falls asleep, but nothing sleeps at LEC. Winter brings new vitality, a new group of athletics, weekend trips for the Ski Club, and the first snow which inevitably brings traditional attacks upon rival dorms. Spring comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb, and LEC keeps growing and changing with the introduc- tion of spring sports, parties, tanning on the sundecks, BFA, and of course a year at LEC is never completed without EXAM WEEK, one full week of last minute cramming, all nighters, and then GRADU- ATlONll!llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

A genuine concern for students and outstanding ability: these are two of the many qualities considered when the yearbook staff gives recognition to a staff member at LEC. Who comes to your mind when you think of these qualities? This year's dedicatee of the 1983 Tiber Yearbook is Bill Karnosh. Mr. Karnosh has done many things toward the improvement of life at Lake Erie. To begin with, he had the dorms ready lin timel to properly greet new and returning students. The campus was in tip top shape and the people working with him definitely made our arrival a most welcoming one. We thank you Bill for your hours both day and night, when you appear to make a bad situation right, be it no cold water lyowzerl, no hot waterlbrrrrl, no heat, etc. 4
