Sailors Prayer Please dear Lord hear this prayer as I call to you again. Watch over him as he sails, keep him safe and sound. Mend the hearts that miss him so and dry the tears they shed. Ease their pain for they not know when he will be home again. Watch over him dear Lord as he is parted from the ones he loves the most. Get him safely to all ports and bases on every coast. Pictures, packages, and cards are the key to his existence as he serves his time at sea. Something to let him know how much he is missed by friends and family. The days are long when there is no mail and the heart feels empty once more. The nights seem endless as he waits for the day they get to shore. And if some day he should shed a tear and fear I will go away. Let him know dear Lord I love him so and my love is here to stay. Thank you dear Lord for the blessing of this man and for our family. Take care of him while he sails, keep him from all harm. Guide his ship safely home so that I can welcome him home with open arms.
