Mitch Black, William Harris, Glenn McQuien, Gregg Miller, Steve Poteer, Steve Payne, Coach Norman Waters, Mike Adkisson, Rob Jameson, Matt Johnson, Bill Weidner, Lloyd McRoy, Keith Scott, Bill Allen, and Brad Ohlemeir. This young bunch of eleven girls made up for their smallness through their hustle and tremendous effort to try to play as a team. They won Consolation at the Sanger 7th grade Tournament, and at that point they felt as champions. In continuing their improvement of the game of basketball, they will become fine athletes. . . . They gave an excellent effort and ended up with 5 wins and 6 losses for the year. The '7th graders were led by Glen McQuien with 95 points and an 8. 6 scoring average. This eighth grade team showed Lake Dallas that they were capable of competing in the new 2A District. Laura Davis had a total of 341 points out of 16 games, and without the hustle and determination of all, their efforts would have been cut short. They have had to play under much pressure, and they have come through as true champions and will become tremendous athletes . . . The 8th grade team was led by Parry Pope with 194 points for a 12.9 average, followed closely by Keith Smith with 137 points and a 9.0 average . . .
