Stadent Council STANDING: Mrs. Ionnson, Dean Allen, Barry Lundberg, David Lee. SEATED: Daryl Bean, Donald MeCaulley, Martha Stewart, presidentg Dean Nicholson, Marilyn Dowling, secretaryg Terry Reaman, not in picture. The Lake City Student Council is a small but re- presentative group consisting of the president and vice- president of each class together with one member chosen at large. Wlieii the opinion of the student body is needed, the Student Council becomes its voiceg when some action is desired, the Student Council lends willing hands for the task. This yearis Student Council has functioned well. Its members sponsored a series of assembly programs which have been both entertaining and educational. They acted as a planning comittee for Homecoming festivities, and each did his share in carrying out the plans with his particular class. The Community Chest drive in the high school was another worthy project of theirs. At Christmas the Student Council planned ex- tensive decorations for the interior of the building, and also constructed the huge lighted evergreen wreath which adorned the outside of the building. The in- formal Christmas program and the treats enjoyed on the day school closed for the holidays were sponsored by the Student Council. Ar this time the sophomore class under the direction of Mrs. Cox presented the one-act play, Pop Read: tba Christmas Carol. Music groups directed by Mr. Brom and Miss Buzicky gave special numbers. Each member of the Student Council wishes to thank the student body for the honor bestowed in choosing him to work in this group. The excellent cooperation and appreciation of both the student body and the faculty have made it a pleasure to serve on the Student Council. .4- W W ,fl '97 f X XZ X!
