Administration School Staff and Administration Combining much experience. gained hy years of service, with the vigor and enthusiasm of youth. the teaching staff at our school numbers l5 men and 18 women. Twenty of the 33 have academic degrees heyond the hachelors degree held by the remaining 13. In addition to the teaching staff. our school has the services of supervisors of instruction. a school nurse. a visiting teacher. and a speech therapist. Coordinating the entire program is the superintendent. who acts under the authority of the five school hoard memlwers elected hy the citizens of Lake Charles. Fine leadership on the part of the administration. plus the consistent effort of the instmctors to increase their skill. have. over a period of years. resulted in one of the lwest high schools in the South.

Sf. Dizier, McCusker Mr. A. J. St. Dizier, Principal Now serving his twelfth year in the principal's position, Mr. A. J. St. Dizier is a native of Lake Charles and a graduate of LCHS. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees at LSU and went on to be- come a classroom teacher here before assuming the role of principal. Currently filling the post of Chairman of the Louisiana Committee of the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Teachers, Retirement System of Louisiana and of the Committee on Research and Services of the Southern Association. Mr. St. Dizier was very busy this year preparing LCHS for evaluation, an extensive project which takes place every ten years. Mrs. Margaret McCusker, secretary to the prin- cipal. is a graduate of Malden Business and Commer- cial School. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. she is active in the Lake Charles Little Theater. the Camp- fire Cirls, the PTA, and the Women's Auxiliary of Hospitals. Mrs. McCusker makes out admittance slips. keeps the school scrapbook, sponsors the bookstore. and maintains all the student records.
