ADMINISTRATION The Lake Charles City School Board, the governing authority for all of the city schools, consists of live members who are elected by the voters of the city of Lake Charles. The term of each member is four years. These school board members are the only ones in the state who serve without compensation. The board elects its President and Vice President, and the Superinten- dent of the Lake Charles City Schools serves as secretary to the board. The school bcard acts principally as a policy making body. lt passes on all expenditures and elects the superinten- dent of the schools as well as the principals and teachers. MH. GEORGE B.
