l Due to a Navy budget crunch, Lake Champlain dragged a net during de- ployment. FC2 Iacklett caught and cleaned this doozey in port in Alaska. Welcome to Homer, population not many. Halibut capital of the world and home to a lot of mooses. Don't get us wrong, we liked it there. The few locals, and that one guy's cousin who was visiting are really good people. Lake Champlain visited Homer from May 31 to Iune 4. We manned the rails in dress blues pulling in, then we wore our uniforms on liberty for a day. Seeing moose in town is pretty cool, and that whole 'midnight sun' thing is interesting. Check out the next few pages for more on our port visit to Homer, AK. ENS Cormier and LTjg Fossati audition for the next Doublemint gum commercial, scheduled to be- gin shooting in Homer later this summer.
