MARITIME INTREDICTION OPERATIONS began with the arrival of Seal Team Three. Two 11 meter RHIBS and Two MARK V fast boats. Once the SEALs had boarded a ship our VBSS team assisted in the containment of the ship ' s crew while the ship was searched. After the foreign ship was found to have United Nations contraband, other members of the crew were sent over to assist the VTJSS team in maintaining order and disipiine. Returning aboard our crewmen! bers had to wash their shoes to prevent transfer of bugs and diseases. BM2 Eudy and LTJG Ralston show us the ropes as the RHIB is lowered over the side in preparation to transfer personnel to one of the boarded ships with contraband. HMCS(SW) Thompson was sent to repair severed fingers and give medical help to the foreign crews.
