Your PASSEX Operations with the JMSDF and ROK Navy were flaw- lessly planned and executed as was the challenging airwing training conducted in winter conditions on the Korean penin- sula. The air combat training you con- ducted with RMAF MIG-29 and F-18 aircraft was another important aspect of the PACFLT engagement plan. Hosting senior Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Malaysian military and government officials, you served as ambassadors for our nation and the Navy, fulfilling another vital SEVENTH Fleet engagement objective and promoting increased militaiy to military interaction. Your experience and observations while operating in this AOR will provide SEV- ENTH Fleet with valuable lessons learned that should significantly improve future operations in SEVENTH Fleet. Please accept my sincere appreciation for a job extremely well done. Your efforts clearly demonstrate the military and diplomatic power of the carrier Battle Group.
