After Boot Camp in Great Lakes, he attended Boiler Technician A school. He is a graduate of the Navy ' s Senior Enlisted Academy Class 37, Blue Group, 1989. Other assignments include: Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; USS FORRESTAL (CV 59); Recruiting duty, Worcester, Massachusetts; USS INDE- PENDENCE (CV 62); Instructorduty SWOSCOLCOM Newport, Rhode Island; USS RALIEGH (LPD 1); USS PLATTE ( AO 186); CM A A Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi; and current assignment as Command Mas- ter Chief USS LAKE CHAMPL AIN (CG 57). He is married to the former Diane L ' Ecuyer of Massachusetts and they currently reside in Spring Val- ley,California. This deployment has marked many FIRSTS in my career. This was my first WESTP AC after spending 22 years on the East Coast. Truly, the Navy has now taken me around the world. This was my first Cruiser and my first assignment as a Command Master Chief. I want to thank the crew for making it a memorable deployment and for always, no matter what circumstancs, performing your jobs with pride and professionalism.
