COMMANDING OFFICER Captain John J. Felloney The Captain looks on-tried and true. Captain John J. Felloney was born in Philadelphi; commissioned through the OCS program. Pennsylvania. He graduated from La Salle University, Philadelphia. Pennsylvania in May 1968 and was Since his commissioning, he has served as First Lieutenant and .ASVV Officer in USS MARSH.ALL (DD 676). USS SAMUEL N. MOORE (DD 747). USS UHLMANN (DD 6S7) and as ASW Officer in USS CARPENTER (DD 825). Upon graduation from Destroyer School in July 1972. he served as Weapons Officer in USS JOSEPH HEWES (FF 1078). From August 1974 to October 1977, Captain Felloney was assigned as an instructor at Surface Warfare Officers School Command, Newport. Rhode Island. During this period, he earned an M.B..A. degree in Management from Bryant College. He was then ordered to USS BELLEAU WOOD (LH.A 3) as a member of the commissioning crew in the billet of First Lieutenant Weapons Officer. He served as Executive Officer in USS H.AROLD J. ELLISON (DD 864) from March 1980 to July 1981 and Commanding Officer in USS DETECTOR (MSO 429) from September 1981 to October 1982. His next assignment was in Washington, D,C., where he served as Assistant Director in the Distribution and Management Control Division (PERS-46), at the Bureau of Naval Personnel. Following this tour. Captain Felloney served as Commanding Officer in USS MCCLUSKY (FFG 41) from January 1986 to February 1988. He was then assigned to the staff of Commander. Cruiser-Destroyer Group FIVE as Surface Operations Officer. In August 1989. he attended the Naval War College in Newport. Rhode Island, and earned an M..A. degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. Captain Felloney was then assigned to the staff of Commander, Naval Surface Forces. Pacific, where he sened as the .ACOS for Personnel. Manpower and .Administration (NT). He assumed command of USS LAKE CHA.MPLAIN (CG 57) in .April 1992. His next assignment will be Commander. Destroyer Squadron THIRTY ' THREE. Captain Felloney ' s decorations include; the .Meritorious Service Medal with three gold stars in lieu of second, third and fourth awards, the Navy Commendation Medal with combat V and gold star in lieu of second award, and the Navy Achievement Medal. Captain Felloney is married to the former Nanette Jacobs of Salt Lake City. Utah. The Felloney ' s have three sons. Brian. Blaine. Bryce and a daughter. Allison.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER The X.O. intimidates LCDR Carter. LCDR William P. Hoker Lieutenant Commander William P. Hoker is the son of Captain and Mrs. Joseph E. Hoker (ret) of Annapolis, Maryland. Following in his father ' s footsteps, Lieutenant Commander Hoker graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1979 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in International Security Affairs, thirty eight years after his father. Assignment to USS NIAGARA FALLS (AFS 3) brought him to San Francisco, with Division Officer billets in Deck, Gunnery, and Auxiliary Machinery. After detaching he spent two years at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, earning his Master of Science degree in Operations Analysis. Orders to USS SAMPLE (FF 1048) as Operations Officer resulted in a move to Hawaii, where he remained for a follow on tour as Operations Officer for Commander Destroyer Squadron Twenty-Five. After leaving COMDESRON 25 Lieutenant Commander Hoker was assigned to the Command of Naval Operations Staff (OP-65) as the U.S. Navy interagency representative for Strategic Arms Reduction Talks (START) in Washington, D.C. Following his tour in Washington, D.C., Lieutenant Commander Hoker headed to the Persian Gulf for an assignment in Surface Operations with Commander, Naval Central Command. He reported aboard USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) in December 1992. Lieutenant Commander Hoker ' s awards include the Navy Commendation Medal with gold star, the Navy Achievement Medal with gold star, and the Battle Efficiency E . He is married to the former Isabel M. Flores of Annapolis, Maryland. They have a son Derek, and a daughter, Lisa.
