Communication through expression Communication is a Lake Central student’s key to an open world. Ex¬ pressions of ideals and feelings on personal, school and world issues are important to listeners of the school and community. The television tower is a symbol of a student’s means of communica¬ tion—a blinking red light seen for miles, saying, “Listen to me. I have something to contribute to the world.” The TV station broadcasts programs to a thirty mile radius. Communica¬ tion from a student can extend from the nearby community to far-away places, making the student voice in¬ creasingly significant in the world of the present.
