Offensively, the Bruins did well with Turner (44), the team leader, averaging 14 points and 11 rebounds a game. Blackwell (50) and Mike Newell (30) each scoring several points. In the back court, the team had an excellent season led by Hensley (42) and San- tavicca (14). To add to the thrilling games, Newell (30) and Turner (44) oc- casionally dunked the ball. Sadly, however Coach Hensley retired from coaching after 27 years. To Mike Newell(30), Coach Hensley, helped players mentally. The whole team benefited from his knowledge of the game. We were fortunate to play under him. In return. Coach Hensley was happy with the way the team played. They were always improving with a good, positive attitude. That attitude, coupled with sheer dedication helped the team to be the best.
