Pat Nolan said that he was looking for- ward to high school because, “then I’ll be able to participate in sports and have a break. ’ Whatever the reason, the eighth graders, for the most part, were all looking forward to their freshman year and all the privileges and add- ed responsibilities that would come with it. In their first year, the class of ‘87 had to get used to many new things, such as lockers, schedules, football games, dances, class night, spirit week, and many more Jr. High” privileges that they didn’t have in elementary school. Not only did they get more privileges, but they also got a lot more work! When you’re in seventh grade it seems like the hardest year, but the class of ‘87 managed to come through it with lots of Bruin spirit and pride.
