Some felt that the new grading system was a deterrent while others said it was better to see a “B+ on their report cards than a “B.” The new scale benefited the students who needed a boost by making it possible to earn that “plus.” Some students complain- ed that they were discouraged in receiving a “B ” instead of an “A Maybe in the long run, however, this new way was a change for the better.
