MR. BERNARD HURST 1915-1977 THE 1981 LOOKING GLASS IS DEDICATED TO i MR. DONALD MORGAN 1935-1980 Donald Morgan was born November 6, 1935. He graduated from Eaton Rap- ids High School and attended Lansing Community College. Later he was em- ployed by Michigan State University where he worked as a supervisor of skilled trades for 24 years. Mr. Morgan enjoyed the outdoors as his hobbies show. He liked fishing, water skiing, and snowmobiling. Mr. Morgan was an active member of the Board of Education on which he served for three years as president. Donald Morgan will long be remember- ed for his contributions to the Laingsburg Community. Mr. Bernard Hurst was born August 24, 1915, in Laingsburg to John and Florence Hurst. He attended and graduated from Laingsburg High School and married Anna Irene Byrnes in Laingsburg May 22, 1946 and had a ramily of 3 sons and 3 daughters. Mr. Hurst was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Laings- burg American Legion Post. He was a rural mail carrier for the post off- ice in Laingsburg for 14 years. He previously worked for the Motor Wheel Corporation in Lansing. Mr. Hurst will always be remembered for his life time service to Laingsburg. 2
