HOMECOMING When you wish upon o sfor . . . the fonrosy theme for Homecoming proved to be o wish come true for one luclsy senior girl. Although ot the gome hundreds of eoger fans clenched their fists ot the norrow 14 — 6 defeat the Howks suffered against the Woodbridge Warriors, the night still held some sparkling moments. The Hawks were the first team to score ogoinst the Worriors defense in league play. Our strong defense olso held the Warriors ot boy, which is known for scoring on overage of 24 points per gome. The tremendous support from the fans at the gome, os well as the assembly earlier that doy, inspired the Hawks to play thot much horder. At holftime, the Disneylond inspired festivities began. Five senior princesses anxiously woited while Mike Smedes galloped gallantly towards Sleeping Beauty ' s cosrle, with the proclama- tion of the new queen in hand. The crowd cheered it ' s approval os A5D President Greg Hendrickson reod the name of Tommy Dornord, Loguno Hills ' tenth Homecoming Queen, Later thot evening, students gathered in the gym to attend the Mosquerode Doll. Sworms of vam- pires, kings, pirates and zombies donced among on orroy of lights that eminoted from the gym floor. The night was filled with songs, dances and good times, ending with memories to cherish of Homecoming ' 67. Homecoming 43 X

Red rover, red rover, send anyone overl Once Upon o time , there lived o family of Baby Hawks. The stork had brought them to Loguno Hills os freshmen, and almost matured Seniors, they were reody to leave the nest. A special day was dedicated for the celebration of their long — owaited departure. This come to be known as DADY DAY. They arrived early, and hod their morning obies Kolrino Heppler ond Moi-Ttong guyen dreom of o tennis moich or imbledon some doy. 11 f C 03e meol of hot sausages and waffles pro- vided for them ot school. Other Dabi?s were seen eating at the local Denny s, Dob ' s Dig Day, and McDonald ' s. After the meal, the Dobies were ready for fun and gomes in their nursery nest, decoroted with toilet paper. In the midst of frills, petticoats, sleepers, worn — out teddy bears, the Dobies ployed such gomes as the pudding — filled diaper roce, the blind — folded baby food eating contest, and Red Rover. During the celebration, the Seniors hod o lot to soy about their day. According to Kimberly Wright, Nan- cy Negron ond Lindsey Rhebeck looked odoroble in their outfits. They were the cutest ones. When asked what Baby Doy meant to him, Ricky Kawodo said it, . . . felt like I was young again being in a boby sleeper. Shouno Bonks ' favorite part of the day wos wotching Charlie and the Chocolote Factory and participating In Mrs. Victorson ' s coloring contest. Who was the funniest — looking baby? Liz Hortzell thought it wos Ryan Roulond wearing his enormous, bright green sunglasses, huge Donald Duck slippers, and o condy cane striped sleeper. So, for the first time, the Seniors ore ready to attempt a solo flight. They will surely soar to new heights in fulfilling their life — long dreams. Although this family of Hawks is now porting to pur- sue their own lives, no one will ever forget all the special memories. . . . And they all lived hopplly ever ofter. THE END )Qy •ii Boby Day 45
