Fine Arts p eople do nof understand orr is Q parr of life. Mr Jurgemeyer pointed out that art is not confined to o museum wall. He recommended art os o woy to become o more well-rounded person, by ex- perencing more odvonced problems through projects, students develop o greater appreclotion for fine arts. A sup- portive staff encourages entering local ort festivals and contests ranging from use to Irvine Volley College , where Todd Lynch ' s art won grand prize. Stu- dent of the month and the Dank of America award were also incentive for art students to cultivate their talents. Fine arts is not restricted to a visible pro- duct. It is also in the beauty of whot we hear, as exemplified by our music department. Hands on experience ollowed the students to participate in performing arts. Exposed to a whole range of composers, favorites were Baroque, Bach, Hoist, and Souso. The numerous competitions available for both the instrumentol and choral pro- groms enhanced the learning ex- perience. Mr. Jones added that being musically involved ollowed the students to porticipote in many school functions and activities, thus enhoncing their academic life.
