ri cw i Mt' Ol Off Campus Where to Go Dinggg! It's 12:32 PM. and the bell finally tolls its long-awaited signal for lunch. Some hungry students hurriedly race to their cars to try to beat the lunch rush. However, notjust any student can go off-campus. Among these lucky few, 50? compose the class of '88. So where do they all go? Carl's Jr. on La Paz Rd. registers as the prime place to be while Fantasia Yogurt and Del Taco closely follow. When asked why, Christy Grebel quickly answered, Carl's, for their fresh salad bar. Tony Long remarked, l go wherever the driver takes me. With or without a car, juniors manage to go off-campus. Why ruin a great privilege? Other juniors like Eve-Marie Williams prefer Wendy's or Togo's because they're close and it's easy to get back on time. l-leather lvlcln- tyre enjoys good ol' lvlcDonald's or maybe a beef 'n cheddar at Arby's. On the other hand, Lindsey Rhebeck suggests going home with some friends because it saves money and you have more time. ' The Junior-Senior off-campus policy not only proves to be satisfying to the stomach but is also a status symbol. lf you want to eat something good, you have to go off, Brian Casagranda observed. Dave Ashcraft add- ed, lt's a nice break from the school at- mosphere. And then there are those who-are less fortunate, the freshmen and sophomores are required to stay on campus, but they pa- tiently await their turn to experience the privilege From fast food to fresh salad, from going home to spending money, the Juniors can at last exercise their freedom of choice. Brian Fleming ponders over which girl should take him to lunch. Mary Jean Helm, Shawna Banks, Shelley Walker, and Janell Thompson pose for a quick one before they take off for Carl's. Jason Cozens gives a satis- fying look after his delicious meal from Del Taco. All gone! Kami Trefethen says after gobbling down her fries. Flac- ing to beat the lunch time crowd, Gene Kim battles the traffic. IE J . qlg zl
