They can be seen from afar, one sock up, one sock down, a trail of papers falling from behind and a look of complete confu- sion on their faces. Nerds were everywhere! They were in lunch lines, they sat in math classes, they invaded lockers. They were ob- jects of jokes in their horn-rim glasses and flowered Hawaiian shirts. The nerd invasion occurred on October 22, 1986. Dressed like Pee Wee Herman and Martin Short they cheered for their class, tore an effigy of a nerd apart, and rode big wheels around campus. Brian Fleming kicked another outstanding punt for the LHHS Homecoming Game against the Orange Panthers. The seniors, cuddled among a playpen of babies, took time to rest before playtime.
