Enthusiastic cheers came Q Yv at - from our crowd of spirited Hawks. lt was 1:30 PM., October 25, 1986. The proud tradition of Homecoming began with the highlight football game and ended with the Homecoming Dance. Homecoming, however, also symbolized the unity among our fellow students, old and new alike, as well as the honor and beauty of the Queen and her court. lt represented triumph and celebration, our undying spirit and faith in our Alma Mater. lt allowed us to express our pride in the brown and gold - Laguna Hills High School. ----' -' iv - QI 'IF ' -9' il 1- . joffow flee gage! Z?ricL lgoac Queen Tami Blume is flanked by homecoming princesses fbottom to topl Erin McGuiness, Jennifer Todd, Tami Alms, and Jennifer Valencia. This year's court underwent a rigorous selection process before making the finals. First the seniors nominated the top ten semifinalists. From there, ASB interviewed the candidates and selected the five finalists. Then, during the Homecoming Assembly, Mike Castillo emceed with tricky questions which the girls answered with wit and charm. Finally their journey on the gold brick road was complete. The students enthusiastically voted for the lady Hawk whom they felt displayed the best personality, the best communicatior skills, and most importantly, dedication to scholastic activities. Tami Blume emerged as the 1986 Homecoming Queen. She is 5'3 , 105 lbs., and has blonde hair and green eyes. She plans to attend a university and major in elementary education. She actively participates in Key Club, Spanish Club, is an ASB Commissioner of Publicity, plays Varsity Tennis, and is a page editor on thejournalism staff.
