The same adjectives used to Escribe gold can be used to describe the Aerie '87 staff. ln ptember a different yearbook was conceived in the minds leach staff member. Together the staff has synthesized the Est of their ideas. The veterans, Tina and R. J. withheld past rie tradition while Iris and Mrs. Fiuyle brought on a new ave of creativity. The result is a perfect blend of imagination 'id experience. Congratulations Aerie '87. Here is the finish- d product! Hanns Lee Stylin'! Betcha you were pleasantly surprised when you iceived your edition of Aerie '87. Let me tell you why. No olds barred, this year's staff broke all the barriers and 'eated a fresh, new, clean style. With the posh leather bin- lng, magnificent photography, intellectual copy, and an 'ganized continuity, Aerie '87 captures the essence of the hool year and delivers it in splendid artistic package entitl- E Gold. However, don't be deceived by the simple beauty of ur accomplishment. Deadlines, hard work, stress, and ressure were commonalities to our diligent staff, but this as also accompanied by the opposite side of the spectrum. le had plenty of laughs, pizza parties, hot chocolate and onut mornings, secret pals, cooperation and encourage- lent to share. In the end the positives and the negatives eutralized bringing out the best yet. Gold is our pride and jy. We hope you cherish and enjoy it as much as we do. mr Clfewe e are thankful for these young peo- ple who have journeyed with us, who have shared their thoughts and gifts with us. Our souls have sung and danced together. We have been blessed by their presence, their in' nocence and strength. We have been nourished by the fruits of their wisdom and their friendship. We pray that we have taught them by example to be seekers of truth, believers of justice, lovers of mankind, ministers of compassion. We have been told that like a chain we are as weak as our weakest link. This is but half the truth. We are also as strong as our strongest link. As we look at these links, the class of 1987, we know that we are a strong chain indeed. As they embark on the next phase of their archetypal voyage, may they continue to be pure of heart, strong of mind, bold of convictions. Graduates, we your teachers, bid you not farewell, but fare for- ward, pilgrims. lf in the twilight of memory we should meet once more, we shall speak again together and you shall sing to us a deeper song.
