Jqolaea ana! .HOOIQ5 Greeted with a new league and new coach, the Lady Hawks knew they had quite a task to accomplish. Nevertheless, they took it in stride and achieved the most productive season yet. Notably, the girls banded together in spirited team- work to produce the 2nd annual basket- ball program which displayed their talents as well as personality. lt took this kind of spirit and dedication to help achieve their goals in this demanding but successful season. The varsity squad, led by Wendy Hensel, lris Veneracion, and Christy Grebel, proved a threatening force as they battled many competitive teams. Each practice and game was a new learn- ing experience. As a young team, the Lady Hawks pulled through as the under- dogs and finished with a dynamite effort. Junior Varsity was represented with a well-balanced team as it had height, speed, and sharp shooting combined. Their hard work and determination made them a winning team on and off the court. The JV girls are all hoops! The girls Varsity team show off their pride. Renn Amstead and Sue Stein hard at work-coaching. Sharon Oh, Marcy Kalberg, and Jenny Swanson warm up before the big game. Nothing like a little stretching to keep Lori Cosgrove fit. 198 ,X RN' Q1 I I 4, ' if it M f .- -7 fa t,. . . . ..4 H15 ' ti K ' sUl1Fx, . 1 ,, ar, t J' 3, . 1 A 4 E ww L' - 5 - r ML . b, i .
