The players have combined their skills to unify and strengthen the team to form a whole. road ounfry vmq,kS!lA PULLS . 550155 W' . 29 I' League Record: 4-1 vs. Laguna Beach-win vs. Trabuco Hills-win vs. Woodbridge-win vs. Costa Mesa-loss vs. Orange-win The Hawk Cross Country Team for 1986 had its most successful season in LHHS history. Running in a very com- petitive league, the varsity team sprinted through the season to place themselves third overall in the Pacific Coast League. From there, they con- tinued to CIF 2-A prelims, to place an impressive second, and move on to the finals. There, the team placed sixth, where they definitely set a Laguna Hills precedent in CIF Cross Country. Top: Coach Gary Fusell, Larry Hicks, Matt Manweller, Eric Schrader, Lenny Hicks, Coach Kevin Dempsey, Tony Gibney, and Steve Frisone.
