Poets Philosophers o more stress reads the banner above the chalkboard in Mr. Sisman's dreaded Room 101. However, satire aside, Senior Humanities provides a creative medium for enlightenment, comaraderie, and in- tellectual growth - the essence of a challenging program conducive to college preparation. Humanities academia con- sists of AP Government and Politics, AP English, and Honors Psychology all encor- porated into two periods. Although it may sound stressful it is more than just countless nights of studying. Humanities allows for one to learn beyond the classroom. The class participates in many cultural excursions that deal with related class subjects. These field trips give the students an opportunity for enrichment and much needed relaxation amidst their stresses and worthwhile accomplishments. Mrs. Victorson and Mr. Sisman, the bookends to a diverse collection oi students and Cliff notes, are the instructors of the Humanities block. In the natural environment, Jack Miller can concentrate on his reading. In Honors Psychology, Mr. Sisman helps the students cope with stress. However, Amy Otto seems to have taken this a bit too lar. Jason Ferber and Marc Carignan attain inner peace in the fashion ol Siddartha. Jenny Todd is deep in thought as she synthesizes another brilliant essay. 131
