i M. Ml 0 v And Dislikes Campus Food Freshmen are confined to the campus during lunch. So, who better to critique the campus food than the ones who flock to the lunch lines daily? lt seems the burritos are a favorite among the freshmen. Denise Cochrum recommends them, and sets aside money every day to buy one. Stephanie Morrison does the same, although admits she's too afraid to try other hot food. Chris Greggs sticks with the pizza because the hamburgers are green, disregarding the warning of Bruce McNeil that the pizza tastes like rubber. Tom Dignan ad- mits, however, that the hamburgers do taste good now and then. Others can't afford the so called over-priced, sub-quality food. Mike Lee not only buys the food but works in the lunch line selling it. lt's all pre-packed and high-priced. I'm not sure where it comes from, but l know it's all microwaved. Others like the food, regardless of the price. Though he rarely buys the junk food, Chris Woolsey makes it a point to purchase his daily hot dog. He especially likes the efficiency of the line, in contrast with that of his former school. Marlo Smith likes everything but the hotdogs, yet suggests that soda be sold because the vending machines rip the freshmen off or are always empty. Others praise the on-campus edibles such as the cherry pies, chips, pretzels, ding-dongs, popsicles and all other junk food. Kim Cozar looks forward to her daily donuts and her friend, Amy McDonald ac- companies her in the line to buy any sort of sweet stuff. Though the comments vary, the general critiques are favorable. The freshmen make the best of their on-campus restriction, and those who prefer not to venture through the lunch lines at LHHS, pack their brown bags full of goodies from home. Jackie Rhodes, though her mom brown bags her lunch for her every morning, always makes it a point to buy some milk and donuts. Mike Symons habitually packs a lunch and awaits the day he too may go off campus for lunch. ln the meantime, the majority of the freshmen gravitate toward the lines to buy everything from tasty sweets to nutritional necessities to achieve their culinary delights. 120
