HOMECOMING COURT The 2nd annual Homecoming was a success when Debra Reza accepted the title of Queen from last year ' s Homecoming Queen Lisa Ritchie. This year ' s court was announced at the Varsity football game aganst La Quinta. The court included Princess Moana Ritchie, Princess Diana Gallo, Princess Cindy Hite, Princess Donna Sherrod and Queen Debra Reza. FLOWERS FOR Drama produced their first play of the year with the per- formance of Flowers for Algernon in late November. It was a compelling story of Charlie Gordon, a mentally handicapped man and a willing victim of a strange experi- ment based on the intellectual capabilities of man. Charlie, played by Jim Chamberlin, accepts the operation that would make him smarter. Going from dumb to smart, Charlie undergoes changes mentally and physically, but when he learns that Algernon, a mouse dies from the same experiment, he soon believes the same will happen to him and he starts to regress and returns to his normal state, a mentally handicapped man. 66
