Coach Kurt McGill The Junior Varsity poloists dominated league play, capturing the league championship. The young Seahawks lost only one non- league game during the season to Fountain Valley. Many of the J.V. players will contribute to varsity play next season in hopes of conti- nuing their success. Much of the team ' s success can be attributed to twice a day workouts and long hours of dedication. The Frosh- Soph team also tasted victory this season as they tallied up 12 wins. The poloists feel that with con- tinued hard work over the summer, they can dominate the league on all 3 levels. Throughout the years of the schools existence, the aquatics program has grown greatly in quali- ty and quantity. The 1982 season looks bright for the Seahawks. J.V. 10SNE1? This season held many surprises for the Girls ' Tennis team. They defeated their archrival Mission Viejo and also defeated Dana Hills. This produced their first league victories in Hawk history. This year Coach Lynn Asaro decided not to carry a J.V. team, which may have contributed to the high quality of play by her team. Many coaches were caught off their guard as the girls played the most competitive tennis thus far. Next year holds even more promise as most of the team is returning, yet these Seniors will be missed very much: Jane Darras, Kristi DuRose, Debi Miller, Bonni Parsons, Kelly Saunders, and Donna Sherrod. The award win- ners this year were as follows; Most Valuable Single — Debi Miller, Most Valuable Double — Cathy Goedecker, Most Improved — Valerie Prescott. ; ; • TOP ROW: Ms Asaro, Kelly Saunders, Debi Miller, Jean Fodor, Jane Darras.
