The Hazen Lodge of Bethesda and Belmont carriecl out the age-old ritual of placing the cornerstone into position with the proper contents placed behind the cornerstone. In the first photo Russell Chappell and C. J. Marr, architect, are shown placing the cornerstone. The second photo shows the cornerstone on November 2, while the third photo shows the cornerstone as it is today. The fourth photo shows Richard Haclcley, a member of Hazen Lodge, E. L. Albanese, Executive Head of Union Local School District, John J. Shannon, Belmont County Superintendent of Schools, Judge Dan Jenkins of Perry County, an officer of the Grand Lodge of Ohio who gave the main address, and Chester Hodges, Grand Master, State of Ohio.
