HOMECOMING jr- ani' '95 .,-,...vwnuv QUEEN LINDA BOYD KING SAM HEFNER On the night of October 17, the 1958 Homecoming ceremonies were held. The queen and her court were driven around the field in convertibles - the queen in a pink Chrysler driven by John Patterson, the Senior and junior attend- ants in a white Chevrolet Impala driven by Jim Slonaker, and the Sophomore and Freshman attendants in a white Chevrolet Bel Aire driven by Jim Hefner. The football squad stood in mid-field while the escorts assisted the girls from the cars. The Senior escort crowned Oueen Linda and King Sam, after which the queen gave the king a good luck kiss. The royal court then came through an arch formed by the band to the throne, where Linda gave Sam the game ball. After helping the queen and her attendants to the royal throne, where they reigned over the game, the king and escorts helped lead the Wolves to a victory of 32-0 over Pandora. The annual Homecoming dance was held in the gym following the game.
