It is a very wonderful thing to be able to work with such a large group of fellows under the able and inspirational leadership of Mr. Yoakam. We learn, as in no other school activity, the thrill of team work, the excitement of being a part of a whole, working together to produce a beautiful song both for our own satisfaction and for the pleasure of our audience. This year there were 52 boys that cslrne down to boys' glee. Our contest numbers are Holy Lord God , by Cain, and Rocka My Soul, by Reigger. 'N Ufficers lit-.ln ll.xll-lieporlvr .intl l,ilir.iri.ni. Snappy music, high stepping marchers, and flashing colors are just a few of the things that make LaFayette's High School Band outstanding. The band put on halftime shows for eight foot- was ball games, and several times the band put on a special pre- game show. With the able assistance of Mr. Burns, a former Ohio State marcher, Mr. Yoakam was able to introduce the new precision drill type march. This band season has been very successful, and one thatwe look back on with pride.
