Howard Sohaaf was seriously injured last week 1 n a motor- cycle race. Ho is recovering in the Shilling hospital, cwn- ed by the former Marjorie Shilling, and is under the excell- ent care of the best nurse ani doctor in this section of the country, none other than June Lament and John Binkley. By now we are very sleepy, so to bed we go for the night. While eating breakfast the next morning we notice in the local newspaper that Ella Mae Van Horn and Mary Ann B11- brey are still together as editors. I'll b e t they never thought they could take that much editing After thanking Don and Anna Mae for their hospitality we start o n our way to the nearest town of Rolling Stone. The men of this party have their hair cut at the barber shop of Donald Stoodt and the girls have their hair set a t the Kellwain Cotner beauty parlor After this is done the men ust wonder what they ever did to deserve such treatment!! erhaps the men dld something in high school that Donald did not like Could it have been that time Miss Jump gave Don ald ten days detention for the p a p e r wade the men were shooting? Before leaving this small town we dec de to have something to quench our thirst so we g o to a restaurant Everybody must like t h e Florida climate, because s1++1ng there in their blue jeans and polo shirts a r e nore other than Harold Peterson and Avonelle Rumbaugh, enjo ir a re freshing drink of Skinner soda pop, produced by t e k'nner Soft Drink Company of Tanksfull, Florida, with Jeannle as half owner We shall now leave Rolling Stone and visit the Flying Saucer Airport, located several miles out o f town After much hesitation we decide to t a k e a little spin om the largest saucer found yet But if we h a d know that Dick Ne ver was to act as pilot, with Ron Conaway as co pilot, we reff would have taken the chance We are taken care of x Lf Fl ly by t h e sweet little stewardess, Miss Harbor. oLASS PROPHECY het's look ahead to the year 2000 We are now travel ing by mule train Why? Simply because there were too many careless people in the generations before this time Gee, they should have continued using that good system of gas rationing that they used during that Second World War about the year 1940 As we stop to water the mules on the beautiful morning of May 15, who should we see but our old school pal, Norman Guthrie, at a Water Station watering h 1 s mules What 8 beautiful carriage he has 1n which to ride! When we ask him how he c a n afford such a luxury, he tells us that 1t was manufactured by the Herbert Elwood, Inc , 1 n Buffalo, New York, so naturally he received a small discount Why a dis count from just this particular company? well, don't you remember when you graduated from high school with Herb? He used to be seen w1th Ray Archer, that very progressive farm er who invented venetian blind style fences to keep his cat tle warm in the winter and l e t the breeze in during the sum er After watering the mules we proceeded on our trip Hey, what 1s that light we see shining in the west? It seems to have a couple familiar names o n it Well, lf it 1sn't the office of Janet Smith, private eye We go and knock on the door and who should invite us in but Joan Smith During our friendly conversation we are informed by Joan that she is now the champion typlst of this particular section of the country The great judge in this contest w a s none other than Mr. Barnes We have no l1ghts on the mules and 1t is getting dark so we decide we had better be on our way We are now enter ing the small village of Budville, named after Bud Reichel Gee, such a sweet little house Oh no, it can't bel Yes, b t 1 t 1 What? Oh, just the residence of Mr and Mrs Donald Spallinger Mrs Spalllnger is the former Anna Mae Stump A sign on the house reads nmULc nICsNSeS FOR S INQUIRE INSIDEW so, suddenl remembering that we must have new licenses by the end of his month, we decide that this is as good a place as any to purchase ours Don and Anna Mae are very glad to see us a n d when we purchase our li censes we are very surprised to see Jean Clum at the desk, acting as stenographer of t h e Spallingers We spend the night at the Spallinger residence, but before retiring we have a lot to learn about our former classmates Don Brenne man and Kermit Kiracofe are 1 n Arizona drilling for mule shoe ore, while Lucille Cra1g acts as their bookkeeper are also told that if we would go tonight to a small town by the name of Dollarville we would be able to articipate 1n Jack McClintock's retirement anniversary celebration has been just fifty years since he retired at the age of 21, and a millionaire at that! Last but not least, we hear that . Q derfer. It seems as though Bud 1s the mayor of this village. u so O Q o . . O : ' H ' A A ALE. - . w3 . It

Yes, I guess we are The sign says, HOLD FOLKS HOME,n and who should we s e e mowing the lawn but Elvin Baker He seems to have lost all his money when he and Mr Packer went into a business o f trying to find an easier w a y to grade papers He informs us that Glenna Arnold is the superintendent of the home and Mr Pen horwood her helping hand Mr Gilbert can b e seen eating what looks to be a very appetizing meal. Well, no wonder It was cooked by our old friend Mildred Anspach. Too soon it is night time again so w e must find some rooms for the night Directly before us is the Early Boarding House, so we will spend the evening here Marilyn tells t h e mule caretaker, Dick Redmond, to s e e to it that the mules are taken care of We go to our rooms and find that our neighbor is Mr Yoakam No wonder we thought we heard somebody sin build an experiment station d o w n the road about a mile Kenny Long is to act as his apprentice and Mr. Bixel is to draw the building plans. POP!! OHS! Something went wrong in the Long Experi ment Station and w e see the mule pulled fire engine going down the road with Mrs Mosher leading the mules and Miss Jump cracking her whip John Zierten 1 s ready to control the fire Well, go to sleep, everything will turn out all right A S S V I Inasmuch as the year has come to a close a n d wehave reached the turning point of our lives,we, the senior gradu ates of 1950 from LaFayette Jackson High School, have made our f 1 n a l decision Throwing aside all other wills and testimonies made before a n d having decided upon this, we make our last and final will and testlmony to the oncomlng seniors of the graduating class of 1951, our faculty members and school employees.
