THE ALLEN COUNTY HONOR SOCIETY Each year in the Allen County School system, qualified students are chosen to become members'mp'ehe Allen County Honor Society. Those who represent ourschool in the Society are chosen on the basis of leadership, scholarship, service, effort, and character, Membership consists of fifteen per cent of the upper one-fourth of the students of the junior and the senior classes. A banquet has been held each spring for the past ten years, changing schools each year so that each school has an equal opportunity to act as host. This year, the Honor So- ciety banquet was held at the Shawnee High School, May 7, 1947. The students chosen for this honor this year are as follows: SENIORS James Bassett, Calvin Early, William Hall, Joan Landes, Phyllis Lutz, JeanMiller,IBettyImn1North, Waneta Ransbottom, Kenneth Schick, and Nolan Younkman.
