fl. lvl . L- Q -QU- TRADITIONALLY blue-jacketed monitors have aided in the maintenance of order in Lafayette. Supervised by Mr. Himrnele, the organization is headed by a council of ten squad leaders: Doris Graves, Ioan Desbecker, Ann Bank- ard, Marjorie Frisbee, Mary Ann Dowd, Hugh Kennedy, Willard Tornow, Iohn Grant, loseph D'Angelo and George Crofts. These people, chosen by Mr. Himmele, have the supervision of their respective squads. Aside from their monitorial duties, this year the organization has spon- sored two assemblies. In the fall they procured Iim Britt, the sportscaster, for an interesting football assembly: two monitors from each of the other high schools were invited. The reunion of the New York State Basketball Champion- ship Teams of 1924 and 1925 highlighted the spring assembly held in the honor of Lincoln. Social occasions also provide an outlet for the monitors' inexhaustible supply of energy, Scott's roller rink, jammed with students, was the setting for their very successful roller skating parties in the fall and early spring. Not satisfied with the hazards of the roller rink, some of these monitors braved the wintry blasts on a toboggan party, attracted, perhaps, by the free refreshments. Monitor kit I l it 'D
