New-' -exxf 5 Q MR. THOMAS Mr. Charles Thomas, our very capable and under- standing principal, has spent many long hours during the year in cur behalf. All summer long he has busied himself with stud in new and better ways of teaching and running a schoof for the good of everyone. In the fall he set up schedules and tried to promote a better understanding between teachers and students. Durin the succeeding months we took our many problems ans propositions to him, for advice and approval. Then came spring with its multiple activities, of which many details had to be taken in consultation to Mu Thomas. At the end of the year we realize as we look back, that the year was a successful one because of the help nnd guidance of our principal, Mr. Charles Thomas. Nfl' MISS GFORGFF NASH Miss Georgee Hash, our trustworthy counselor, has spent many hours this past summer and all during the school year with her many duties and respon- sibilities. Early in the sprin , her time is occupied showing the 7th and Sth gragers from other schools though Lafayette and helping them to become better acquainted with high school life and activities. Later in the school year, she is busy counseling the Sth, 9th, and 10th grade students. She begins to figure credits for seniors, I0 the will be certain they will be able to graduate.. Faixing next years schedule of classes for every student in school is a big Lob for this amazing person, on whom we depend muc for our smooth running high school career. We owe much to our reliable counselor, and her untiring work is deeply appreciated by both students and faculty alike. Advi or 'FQ' MISS ANNA HAGUE Miss Anna Hague, our adviser to girls, has a never ceasing job and a very important one. She spends much time keeping attendance records and reports. Miss Hague is especially busy at grade- card time when she has to Bgure accu- rately how many days each student has been absent during the year. This poised and dl lfied lady also serves UI as an Englisgn teacher.. Miss Hague has thls year, as in the past, proven herself to be worthy of the trust placed upon her.. MR . BAKER Mr. Frank C. Baker, our very capable vice-princflal, has completed another year of be g a friend to all.During the summer months he studies ways and means of improving student-teacher relationships.. In t.he fall, Mu Baker ls found busily at work on schedules for the coming year. He aids in the con- trolling of unruly students, ls always availa le for advice, and teachesa class during the school term. As spring arrives, we know that as a very neces- sary part of out administration, Mr. Baker contributed much to th: success of the 1953-54 school year. Page
