This was also the first year for the Singing Val- entines, personal messages sung by Student Council members to someone special. Among other Student Council firsts were, the Teacher Apprecia- tion Day Luncheon, the School Calen- dar, the JuniorlSenior class elections, and a Lafayette Scrapbook. During her year as Student Council President, Karen Stokley Worked to get the students more involved.
