The Math department at Lafayette prepares the college bound student as well as the future mother and house- wife. Math Ten and Consumer Math help the housewife to balance the budget while she also learns how to use the math in her cooking and the washing of clothes. Algebra, Trig- onometry and Higher Math are offered to benefit the future engineer or doctor for his college classes. The math that the future doctor takes in high school gives him the basic background for his college studies. Math and Science are designed to prepare students for life ahead whether they are college bound or family bound. These sujbects are required for anything you want to master in life.
