Junior-Senior Prom Captures Sprin I H Spring Tever prevailed as l.aTayeTTe welcomed spring wiTh The Junior-Senior Prom. PasTel Tissue Tlow- ers and arches helped carry The season inside. Arriving early, TwenTy-Tour nervous seniors awaiTed The announcemenT oT prom royalTy. Female members oT The courT waiTed in The Red Room, while Their male counTerparTs sTood in The corridor. Finally, The escorT-halT oT couple eleven enTered The Red Room and slowly walked To his parTner. EighT more genTlemen enTered, one by one, To Tind Their as- signed misses. WiTh every opening oT The door, girls' hearTs rose To Their ThroaTs. Each girl secreTly hoped she would noT be in The nexT couple. EvenTually, only Two girls remained unchosen. One would be queen. The TirsT aTTendanT escorT enTered and walked To his parTner. All suspense ended. Twelve honored couples lined up To be presenTed during coronaTion. Larry Chandler announced The lasT nine couples as They enTered: Then, whaT everyone had waiTed Tor: Second aTTendanT, Miss Theresa Rodriguez, escorT- ed by Mr. Mike ShackleTord. . . Discarding The annual Senior Awards Dinner- Dance, FaculTy Awards were presenTed aT a Senior RecogniTion program. ThirTeen seniors, as well as Their parenTs, had been alerTed beTorehand oT Their nominaTion Tor a special award. However, none were aware ThaT They had acTually won.
