PARENTS RELI VE HIGH SCHOUL ON P.T.A. Headed by Dr. O. E. Bissmeyer, the P.T.A. began the year with a '6Back to School Night .for parents. Parents attended their chil- dren's classes and met teach- ers. Discovering how each class is taught and what sub- jects are covered was the main purpose of the night. To keep both parents and students informed of school events, the P.T.A. sent home a monthly newsletter. Centered around guest speakers from local colleges and universities, most of the meetings concerned the preparations necessary for college. As a money making proj- ect, the P.T.A. sponsored a bat- tle of bands for students. On the last work day, the P.T.A. gave a luncheon for teachers. fright!
