l 1 LHS Gets 31,144,000 Addition After renovating Lafayette's 27- year-old main building, construction workers moved to vacant ground be- side the gym to begin a fPS1,1414l-,000 complex, including modern science Classrooms, and a larger gym and cafe- teria. Honoring the sehool,s former principal. who served Lafayette for 17 years, the new structure will be named the H. L. Davis Student Center. Ground breaking Ceremonies were held in September. Through the Winter months, progress seemed slow, but with spring weather, the builders ap- peared to work faster, hopefully to meet their September, 1966 deadline.

l my funiors Give Gone John Ishmael contemplates the success of the prom as the evening ends. With the Windy, The Junior Class gave seniors a sampling of the Old South when, on May 6, they presented the prom in the Phoenix l-lotel's Convention Hall. Car- rying out the theme were decorations of an ante bellum uhomev, miniature Confederate soldier caps, Southern belle honnets and swords, and path- ways ,of artificial flowers. To add a modern touch, the HSultans provided music. Thus, juniors displayed their idea of the way of life 'cGone With the Wind .
