A week-end snow of eleven inches caught Fayette County off-guard, as usual, and provided county students with a three-day vacation. Melting ice lessened hazardous conditions, and on Thursday, January 27, students re- turned to school, confident that they would not get another break until spring vacation. 'But someone else had different ideas as, again on Saturday, Lexington caught a blizzard accumu- lating to nine inches-worth five more days of winter fun.
