L fayette Shares Honors in the National a Merit Scholarship Finals g if All eleven semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying tests became final- ists. To become a finalist, a student must have 9971 on the NMS qualifying test. The Sill' dent must then he recommended by his school to take the finalist test. A merit scholar is eligible for a scholarship from 35100-31500 per year to the college of his choice. The students are sponsored by private companies. The finalists include: ROW 1: L.iHenry, S.
