Mr. George Hebert Guidance is an opportunity for a meaningful future, for a well-rounded educa- tion, for understanding oneself, for success. Whether the problem concerns a schedule or is purely personal, Mrs. David and Mr. Hebert tackle it with a purpose to solve. Administering testing programs and filing records of achievements are included in their services. The seniors are especially grateful for their efforts in helping them make the right choices con- cerning an occupation or a college education. The conscientiousness and faithful- ness with which they perform their many services cannot be surpassed. Their assistance is truly worthy of notice and is greatly appreciated by all. They overwhelmingly replied, Give us a student who can read. Once a student can read with under- standing, he can conquer any subject. The library at Lafayette High is well equipped for informative reading and pleasure reading. It is in this powerhouse of knowledge that the works of histo- rians, poets, scientists, novelists, and philosophers are stored. This wisdom bound in book form is available to any student who wishes to take advan- tage of the resources. The resourcefulness of the li- brary is due to the competent, well-trained staff, plus the collection, variety, and up-to-dateness of its literature. The realms of adventure, mystery, and discovery are open to any student, while the answers to in- triguing questions are waiting to be uncovered. gm...
